The money system is terrible and everything besides the map seems like a huge step back. The 1v1 for a revive is also a terrible idea. The lack of actual solo or duo que is also a huge bummer. Really isn't much gameplay to enjoy.

Even though my kill/death ratio is very low, it's still a lot of fun. The more I play, the more I can unlock perks, guns, and attachments. It's a very fast paced game, it takes teamwork (the more your team sticks together and communicates, the more success you will have. I would highly recommend this game for all levels of players. The map is huge, there are 150 players at a time which means even on a big map there's enough action. There are 2 game modes, Blood Money and Battle Royale, both are a lot of fun although Battle Royale can be a little stressful because one death and you're in the Gulag, die there and game over. Well designed game, nice spin on the Battle Royale genre, Highly recommended.

In spite of the serious concessions to depth made in the name of instant gratification, Call of Duty: Warzone’s beta remains thoroughly enjoyable. The battle royale formula is intact, albeit some of the aspects that usually make it so exciting and replayable are muted here. I’d love to see a reason to try something other than my Modern Warfare multiplayer loadout in the future given how easy it is to acquire, and think that the armor plate system and gulag are in need of revision. But my time spent in Verdask was still supremely fun even if the how and the why of it didn’t matter all that much.

Warzone is a great sophomore attempt at a battle royale from Call of Duty, which finally manages to carve out its own identity with interesting spins on the existing formula. Its subversion of death and the nail-biting Gulag duels give you more ways to stay in a match, while also forcing you to be aware of your surroundings even after wiping a rival squad. Its looting is streamlined enough to make early moments feel fast, but Warzone also loses some of the messy magic from hobbled together loadouts by letting you drop in prebuilt ones far too easily and frequently. Still, if you're comfortable with Call of Duty's latest iteration of multiplayer antics and thrive in the stressful setting of battle royales, Warzone is a strong contender for your attention.

Warzone is, like its skull-masked, kevlar-tucking “operators”, entirely solid. It bloody well should be, given its pedigree. But there is remarkably little interesting here – aside from flourishes like the sinister gulag section – to command our attention. It’s not particularly beautiful, and makes up for that with enormity. Sure, this is a CoD game we’re talking about, so fantastical theme park aesthetics were never an option, but nevertheless there’s a lack of character here that is in no short supply in other games of this genre.
